The fascinating Ancient Egyptian culture can be admired in the Museum Weltkulturen of the Reiss-Engelhorn-Museen. The exhibition "Egypt - Land of Immortality" invites visitors to discover more than 4000 years of advanced civilisation. The modern designed galleries focus on themes such as everyday life along the Nile, pharaohs and high officials, lavish mortuary cult and manifold worlds of the gods. About 600 objects are currently on display, which date from the beginnings of the Egyptian state in the late 4th millennium BC up to the Ptolemaic-Roman time and Late Antiquity.
